This hilarious Gonzo T-shirt design came to life after a ski trip Thompson and Professor Heinous took that had its fair share of snow. Lone Mountain in Big Sky, Montana was the inspiration for the design, where 500″ of annual snowfall is a constant occurrence. It’s not a bad place to get drunk and thrown out of a bar either! Inspired by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert’s Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear, this shirt was a result of a review of photo galleries from the event. Thompson and Professor Heinous  grew tired of the same old “Legalize Pot” signs, and Thompson thought we should have gone with a sign that said “Fuck Pot, Legalize Cocaine.” Professor Heinous loved it and this shirt is the triumphant result.

YAMADD – Youth Against Mothers Against Drunk Driving – actually predates the days of Go Gonzo Journal. Professor Heinous spawned this hilarious Gonzo T-shirt years before the website took form, even forming a Facebook group for the wildly unorganized organization, which does NOT support drunk driving, but believe MADD should tone it down a notch. The T-shirt and Facebook group have experienced moderate local success and continues to grow.

The beautiful Go Gonzo Journal logo, designed by Ryan Bone with the help of editor, Anthony Varriano, graces the front of this T-shirt and the back of every Go Gonzo T-shirt we sell. This logo was developed in a week, with Anthony emailing sketches to Ryan in Shanghai, who eventually discovered this logo after just 3 revisions. The logo will soon become the symbol for the resurrection of Gonzo journalism.
